Going into 2013, the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback continues on unchanged from the previous year.
The Lancer is available as a four-door sedan (covered in a separate entry) or four-door hatchback, called the Sportback, available in SE and GT trims. Both trims use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine (148 hp, 145 lb-ft) mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or continuously variable transmission (CVT, Sportronic CVT on GT models).
Features of the SE model include airbags (front, front seat, side curtain, driver's knee), anti-theft engine immobilizer and security alarm, LATCH, TPMS, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, 16-inch alloy wheels, black mesh grille with chrome surround, power heated folding exterior mirrors, rear spoiler, heated front seats, 6-way driver seat, 4-way front passenger seat, 60/40 split folding rear seat, premium fabric seating, air conditioning, air filtration, Bluetooth, power locks, remote keyless entry, power windows with driver auto-up/down, cruise control, 4-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio, steering wheel mounted cruise and audio controls, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, multi-information display, ECO mode indicator on CVT models, and gear shift indicator for manual models.
GT trim adds Ralliart front bumper and grille with chrome surround, fog lights, exhaust finisher, leather seating, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, hydrographic instrument panel, chrome interior door handles, automatic climate control, fast-key entry, 710-watt Rockford Fosgate Punch audio system with 9-speakers, 6-disc CD changer, satellite radio, and colour multi-information display.
